Guns N’ Roses - Chinese Democracy [2008]


Vayamos al grano: este álbum de canciones nuevas y originales de Guns n’ Roses, el primero desde la primera presidencia de Bush, es un gran disco de hard-rock: audaz, descabellado e intransigente. En otras palabras, suena como el Guns n’ Roses que ustedes ya conocen. Por momentos, se parece al GNR del puñetazo que generó la tormenta perfecta de 1987, Appetite for Destruction; y, en mayor medida, se asemeja a ese estilo distendido en versión maximizada de los CDs del año 1991 que se reflejó en Use Your Illusion I y II. Pero, en este caso, se trata de una versión comprimida en un solo disco con convulsivos shreds de guitarras, fanfarrias orquestales, electrónica hip-hop y un coro de tabernáculo metálico, sumado a la voz aún viril y con tono herrumbroso de Axl Rose.
